We have delayed sending this newsletter because Doris had to go through surgery for glaucoma in November 2023 and took some time to rest. That was the 3rd surgery for glaucoma because the previous two failed to control her eye pressure. We pray that this one will successfully reduce the eye pressure to prevent her eyesight from worsening. She cannot drive anymore now and reads with much difficulty. Other than her glaucoma, she is in good health. We covet your prayers for her.

Wing Yui is doing well. His greatest achievement last year was finishing writing his autobiography; a big volume with 580 pages. It is not just his story, but his story against the political, social, and economic backgrounds of the time which he has done much research on. It is a source of real history of the past 70 years. You are welcome to read it online for free at sosir.org if you are interested. He is making it into an audiobook chapter by chapter now.

He still preaches every Sunday at church, teaches adult Sunday school, makes YouTube videos, leads Bible studies, and manages two radio programs for the Bay Area. What he found very rewarding was leading the Evangelistic Bible Study group at church every Sunday. It is amazing that new non-Christian friends are coming to this group almost every Sunday. Quite a number have become Christians. We thank God for this opportunity to witness to non-Christian friends and lead them to Christ. The group has grown so big that it will split into two and Doris will help lead the 2nd group. We also put all our writings, sermons, Bible study notes, audiobooks, and videos on our website sosir.org, and our YouTube channel Sosir天地。 Hopefully, this will enable us to reach out to more people in the Cantonese-speaking world. It is a great blessing that we can still have opportunities to serve God at this age of our lives.
